The ETC provides expertise across a number of disciplines ranging from energy technology development and testing, marketing, and business development and growth, through to identifying and accessing funds.
The ETC offers:
- Specialist equipment and facilities for product development, verification, demonstration, validation & certification
- A safe and independent testing environment
- Access to a flexible pool of independent technical and commercial expertise
- Support for a wide range of technologies at various stages of maturity
- Access for SMEs, start ups, corporates and academic organisations
Close collaboration with other technical centres of excellence and public sector organisations across the country
- Support in the development of collaborative ventures through a network of advisors, suppliers and potential customers
Availability of selective financial assistance and signposting to other potential sources of funding
Orion Innovations, as part of the consortium that manages the ETC, is responsible for market development and provides commercialisation support to projects and companies in areas such as the development of market entry strategies, licensing advice, business and financial planning, and development of industrial partnerships, as appropriate to the needs of individual companies.
Our consortium partners are:
- TUVNEL Ltd – with 50 years of experience of operating complex engineering facilities for public and private sector clients
- New Park Management Ltd – providing hands on delivery of business development support across their network of business parks
- Optimat Ltd - a niche strategy, economic and business development consultancy working with energy technology centres and technical service providers
