Alison is an environmental engineer by training and has nearly 20 years of technology and business experience gained in both consulting and industry. For more than ten years she worked with four of the largest management and engineering consulting groups in the UK where she worked globally for national governments, IFIs and Fortune 500 companies.
Since forming Orion Innovations in 2004, Alison has gained significant practical experience working with a variety of new businesses, academic project teams and public sector organisations to catalyse innovation in the Cleantech sector. She has worked extensively on a variety of strategic projects for The Carbon Trust and a number of English RDAs, and has also worked regularly in Scotland via the Scottish Enterprise Proof of Concept Programme and the Energy Technology Centre. Alison frequently works with new ventures and start-ups and has been actively involved in a number of new businesses, including acting as Interim Managing Director for an environmental technology spin-out for a leading UK University.
Alison is an experienced and mature professional who works closely with her clients to deliver value through the development of solutions appropriate to each individual organisation’s needs.
