Chris Forsdyke

 

Chris is an Associate of Orion Innovations who has led business development and project financing teams for major multinationals for more than 15 years supporting new ventures, mostly in chemical related industries (water, oil processing, plastics, rubber, industrial raw materials, fine chemicals, ion exchange), throughout Europe, the USA, Africa and the Middle East.

 

Chris' career has included business development and technology management for The Dow Chemical Company, chemical project financing as Senior Consultant with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund and interim management for new chemical process technology start-ups.

 

He has managed start-up projects in a wide range of organisations, from major multinationals to small: 4 man start-up enterprises.

 

In 2002, Chris founded Comstratos Sarl (www.comstratos.com), a company specialising in early stage new business growth and the optimization of existing commercial and manufacturing operations. He has a great deal of practical experience in the commercial evaluation of R&D projects, resource identification and definition, integration of R&D results into existing structures, the development and implementation of business process methodologies and tools, and the recognition of cross fertilisation opportunities.

Chris has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Salford University, UK; an MBA from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and the Advanced Management Course in 'Planned Innovation' from Michigan State University, USA.
