Juliet has extensive knowledge of the Cleantech sector and has supported strategy development and programme optimisation for both corporate and public sector clients. Example projects include: the development of measures for improving implementation of energy-efficiency projects; analysing potential consumer and company behaviour in response to an environmental labelling scheme; market analyses for emerging markets in the renewable sector; and a strategic review of an incubator service for emerging technology companies.
She has recently undertaken comprehensive research into best-practice activities within innovation support systems. For example, she carried out a detailed analysis of the innovation models, strategies and practices of innovation agencies in Norway in order to guide the development of strategies and plans for a newly formed Canadian government agency.
Prior to joining Orion Innovations, Juliet worked as an information management consultant, managing a number of large and complex projects, where the key objective was to analyse and structure large volumes of data to optimise knowledge management for online and printed applications. Clients included The Wine Society, Reader’s Digest, Cassell, A&C Black and SCHIN. During this time Juliet was also Project Manager and Editor of the Tomorrow Project website, a government sponsored organisation that publishes the results of a programme of research into emerging social, economic and demographic trends.
